Its family game night–5,000 years ago!  Join the fun and learn from an expert on ancient games who solved the mystery of how games began and how they’re played.  (Dr. Finkel was a consultant for the Harry Potter Movies and loaned his copy of a Lewis Chess set to be used as a prop!) 

Following Dr. Finkel’s talk, join us to play ancient games in Glassell Hall.  You’ll be able to play with Lewis Chess sets and try the Royal Game of Ur, Parcheesi, Go, and Senet. 

Suggested ages: Grades 6-12 and adults

Admission: 
$5.00AIA & HMNS members, $5.50 General public

Talk followed by an ancient games festival, free with
museum admission.
